WEBSITE

Having a website for you LUG is a great way of making your self known. The linux community is highly internet orientated so a website is a good thing to have.

Considere to include the following things:

• Full address information for people to find you. This includes snailmail, email, faxnumbers and whatever ways you can think of that people may want to respond.
• Background information about the LUG such as the history and such.
• Reports and announcements for all events you have held or are going to hold.
• Usefull tips to connect Linux to ISP's in the area.
• Native and translated work related to Linux.

PUBLICITY

While a website is a nice thing, there are other ways of making publicity for your LUG.

Some ideas for publicity:

• Adds in local newspapers. (Some may put a free add if you make it a press announcement instead of an add.)
• Stick up posters at places that people may visit which could include places as libraries, bookstores, computerstores, laundrystores (Is this right? ;-) and so on.
• Post an announcement on comp.os.linux.announce
